This small village belonging to the region of Tierras Altas is located in the north-eastern part of the province and borders with La Rioja in the Mediterranean area where the Alhama River passes and surrounded by the mountain ranges Sierra de las Cabezas and Sierra de Alcarama to the south and Sierra del Almuerzo to the north.

The main touristic attraction is the Castle of Nava del Marqués which was built in the 15th century and is considered one of the most important baronial castles in the province of Soria of the 15th century.

It is worth mentioning the Gothic church of San Martin de Tours that was built in the 16th century with only one nave and a polygonal apse. Inside there is a Baroque altarpiece that shows a Riojan influence in its sculpting style. There is also a Romanesque carving of Virgen del Monasterio that came from the old chapel that is currently in ruins.

The chapel Virgen del Barroso is said to have a pre-Romanesque origin. It has a rectangular apse and the sanctuary has a horseshoe floorplan which is semi-excavated in the rock.
