Fuentes de Magaña is located in the north-eastern part of the province and is surrounded by the mountain ranges of Alcarama and Rodadero in the north. It’s on the border with the municipalities of Valtarejos to the west, Valdeprado to the north, Cerbón to the east and Magaña to the south.

The landscape is rugged and abrupt and there are many foothills around the village such as the Serrezuela, Dehesa and Carracierzo. In the are there are also various ravines with springs.

The most interesting aspect is perhaps the pillory called The Gallows (La Horca) that stands out for its peculiar structure. It is formed by two two-metre tall columns separated a metre and a half apart, where it is said that many hangings have been carried out.

Regarding religious art, it is worth mentioning the church of the Immaculate Conception and the chapel of San Sebastián. This chapel seems to have been built in 1661 and it can be found on the way to Cerbón.

The Icnitas Paleontological Site (Yacimiento de las Icnitas) is one of the largest and most complete sites in the area. There you can find more than 300 dinosaur prints throughout 13 different levels. These prints belonged to mainly Sauropods, although there are also some left behind by Ornithopods, Theropods, Pterosaurs and other reptiles. The site is currently fenced in and a life-sized model of one of the dinosaurs has been installed, which is said to be the biggest dinosaur replica in the world.
