Palace of Hurtado de Mendoza (Almazán)

The Palace of Hurtado de Mendoza is a beautiful 15th-century Renaissance style palace with a rectangular floor plan and built with ashlar stone. On the lower floor, there are six windows that match with six balconies located on the main floor, whereas the upper floor stands out for having an Isabelline-Gothic gallery. However, the most interesting aspects are the western and southern façades, this last one being the main entrance to the palace through which you must go through a big courtyard. One of these façades currently cuts off one of the sides of the town square and is at an angle with the Church of San Miguel. Make sure to take a look at other interesting elements such as the coat of arms of the Mendoza family and the indoor patio.
