Numantia Archaeological Centre

It is located in the old school and has two rooms where they have recreated representations of the civilisations that fought here: the Celtiberians and the Romans. These two rooms are separated by the symbolic “Roman gate”.

In the Celtiberian room, there is part of the wall that has been rebuilt and you can see part of a Celtiberian cemetery. There is a Celtiberian warrior wearing the typical garments and carrying weapons. You can also see a reconstruction of the Numantian army on an interactive model that reproduces Roman camps and the Roman gate.

In the Roman room, there is a reconstruction of a Roman camp with a soldier in his barracks. You can see how the Romans fought against the Celtiberians at the border and there are informative panels on the Roman lifestyle. The tour ends with a panel that explains the fall of Numantia.
