Mount Moncayo and Bat Interpretation Centre (Cueva de Ágreda)

This space is dedicated to both the study and awareness of Mount Moncayo and its bats. This centre has three floors. On the first floor, you’ll find the front desk and a souvenir shop, and the second and third floors are each separated into two rooms.

The second floor has two exhibits; Bat Room and Moncayo Room. In the bat room, you’ll find retroilluminated panels with an 11-minute video. This room has motion sensors and cameras connected with the cave so you can observe the bats’ every movement. The Moncayo Room also has ambient sounds and as the visitor goes through, images of Mount Moncayo will appear with information on the geology, flora and fauna of this unique ecosystem.

On the third floor, you will find the library and a terrace with a telescope so you can see the bats’ cave right in front of the building. On your way up, you will find more informative panels on several aeroplane accidents that have taken place in Mount Moncayo.

Timetable:

Open until September 18th, from Wednesday to Sunday, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
