The Ducal Palace of Medinaceli

It was declared Heritage of Cultural Interest in June, 1979.

It is a Renaissance style building that was erected between the 16th and 17th century following the standards of symmetry, simplicity and elegance. It was known as Casa de Medinaceli and there are coats of arms all over the façade. It stopped being used in the 19th century and almost went to ruins until the 90s when it was restored. In December 2008, they opened a museum dedicated to cultural exhibitions with ten rooms spread out throughout the main floor of the old palace. Inside you can see one of the most interesting Roman mosaics in the area.

Address: Plaza Mayor, s/n 42240, Medinaceli.
