Church of San Nicolás (Soria capital)

Monument since April, 1962.

The 12th-century Romanesque church of San Nicolás was referred to as a parish in the 1270 census issued by Alfonso X. This church started to deteriorate in the 18th century, although an arch was restored in 1739 to avoid it. Now the church is in ruins due to the fact that in 1858, the domes were torn down in fear of them collapsing and in 1908, the façade was removed and installed in the church of San Juan de Rabanera. Finally, in 1933, some of the walls were torn down due to their precarious stability situation.
