Caracena Canyon

This canyon connects Caracena and Tarancueña. It is located on the Sorian side of the Pela Mountain Range, about 93 kilometres away from the capital.

To get there, take SO-100 towards Quintana Redonda and Berlanga de Duero until you reach Tarancueña. You can also get there from Caracena taking N-122 towards Valladolid until you reach El Burgo de Osma where you’ll go on to SO-P-4123. To get from Caracena to Tarancueña it is only possible on foot.

The beautiful canyon expands throughout the land like a secret garden, only available for those who decide to hike through it. The hike gets all the more interesting once you reach the medieval village of Caracena.

It is a short canyon, full of charming nooks and crannies with very interesting archaeological sites from the Bronze Ages.
