Momblona is a small village with Stone and adobe homes where you can see a magnificent Gothic church devoted to Virgen de la Asunción.

There you can also find a chapel called Ermita de la Virgen de los Montejos, virgin to whom the locals celebrate the local festivities in May.

Throughout the years, many archaeologists have found remains of ancient settlements in Momblona. In the Numantian Museum in Soria, there is a double-bitted bronze axe with some traces of iron found in Momblona. It is about 14 centimetres long and is decorated with circles that form triangles, according to Blas Taracena. Moreover, near the windmill next to the bridge Puente del Ojo, they found many Celtiberian jugs with concentric circles, as well as a circular grinder. “Some of these findings suggest that a very advanced indigenous civilisation, almost Roman in nature, lived here.”

What is curious about this village is that the fronton court uses one of the parochial church’s walls.
