It is known as the “Village of witches” due to the fact that for many years it was considered a hub for witchcraft. In the village we can find various places that are telltale signs of this, such as the Witch Confessional Milestone (Mojón-Confesionario de las Brujas) and the Airon Pits (Pozos Airones). The Confessional Milestone is a stone with a hole passing through the middle and a cross engraved on the upper part. According to the legend, witches would place their heads in the hole while confessing. Legends also tell that the Airon Pits were formed by witches who hit the ground with their behinds. These pits are capable of swallowing large amounts of water, therefore all the irrigation canals of the area end up here.

Other places that are worth visiting are the church, the watchtower, the lagoons of Sabuco and El Ojo, El Tallar which is a Mediterranean forest and La Hondonada.

There is also another site that is declared a site of Community interest and is a Special Protection Area for birds called Altos de Barahona.
